For four days every October, London’s Regents Park is turned into an art appreciator’s playground when the Frieze comes to town.
Now in its 10th year, the Frieze offers art lovers and art collectors the chance to come face to face with new, prolific, strange and controversial works of art…the fair is also attended by a wide array of new, prolific, strange and controversial people from the worlds of art and fashion.
In general the Frieze acts as a good gauge of what is fashionable in art, fashion and food…and is a visual feast for the eyes. There are always an array of interesting reviews on the art and fashion (and hair) seen at the Frieze. (Frieze art fair: the best hair | Fashion | theguardian.com)
On this particular Friday in October there were four well dressed members of the Bulletproof team Ale, Alex, Beth and Nicole. We had lunch in Hix, (the Frieze is fancy don’t you know!) and then got on with the important business of looking at art.
Here is our selection of the top 10 pieces on show…
Jennifer Rubell, Self Portrait
Urs Fischer, Dunno
James Lee Byars, Four in a Dress
Javier Tellez, Neither More nor Less
Takashi Murakami, Reborn
Not sure of the artist or the name…but we really enjoyed the upside down scribbly people!
Ron Mueck, Woman with Shopping
And then it was time for home…
