US Open Men’s Semifinals
Last Friday, the US Open Men’s Semifinals took place in Queens at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The event brought out some A-list celebrities from Leonardo DiCaprio to Bill Gates and…a few members of the Bulletproof New York tribe! It was set to be an action packed day as we were watching the Anderson v. Carreño Busta and Nadal v. del Potro matches.
From the Bulletproof New York studio, we hopped on the subway out to Queens, where we joined the rest of the crowd for a day of tennis.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a true Bulletproof outing without some drinks so upon arrival, we kicked off our visit with the official US Open cocktail, the Honeydeuce. After a round of refreshments, we indulged in some Fuku Fried Chicken, then set off to the matches!
Throughout the next 5 hours, we watched countless back hands, near-misses, and aces. We also learned that the US Open’s playlist between sets and breaks consists of an unorthodox mix of Justin Bieber, Diana Ross and Pitbull.
When both matches finished (spoiler alert: Anderson and Nadal won and headed to face off in the finals) we piled into the subway one last time and bid Queens farewell for the night.
Until next year!
