It was the night we’d all been waiting for – the Creativepool Annual launch party!
Entries are judged by an esteemed panel and the winners get to feature in the prestigious Creativepool Annual, which is circulated and celebrated all across agency land. There is also a poll on the Creativepool website for the people’s choice, giving the public a chance to choose their favourite in each category. We were lucky enough to be shortlisted for a few pieces of work in the Packaging category and also for Independent Agency of the Year, so the time had finally come for us to see if we had won.
There had been plenty of hype online in the run up to the event and as we approached the venue for the evening – Protein Studios in Shoreditch – we could see the queue was around the block! We waited patiently with time for a quick team selfie.
We were greeted with a prosecco reception and hordes of agency folk from all over the city and beyond. After a brief bit of mingling and catching up with familiar faces, the proceedings began and we took our place near the front of the stage. Founder, Michael Tomes, kicked off the ceremony with a short speech in which he also explained how the website has exploded in popularity over the last year, connecting hundreds of thousands of people within the design industry all over the world.
Each of the category winners were announced and applauded before making their way to collect the prestigious, golden copy of the annual with their names embossed on the cover.
With the night drawing to a close, we decided to check out the crazy strobe photo booth by The Flash Pack – so much fun! As we were wandering back into the main hall, we heard “Bulletproof” being announced as a winner, so we quickly rushed on stage to receive our Annual. Such a proud moment to see Bulletproof crowned the People’s Choice for Independent Agency of the Year, with our beautiful Stassen work shown on screen.
This morning with sore heads, we proudly placed the Creativepool Annual in our reception area for all visitors to see. It was such an honour to receive this accolade, especially as the votes had come from our peers. Thanks to everyone who voted!
